Our family is the 4th generation of tableland farmers sustainably managing our farm, with our three children often lending a hand. The farm has been owned by the Godfrey family since July 1964 and has been certified organic since 2000. When we eventually pass our farm on to the next generation, should our children choose to continue the business, our goal is for it to be in a healthier state than when we began.
All our produce at Stannary Hills Organic Produce is Certified Organic and grown using methods in accordance with the Australian Organic Standard, conforming with the Australian National Standard for Organics and Biodynamic Produce and in accordance with the ISO65 accreditation program as accredited by IOAS. Stannary Hills Organic Produce also holds a compliance certification with the Freshcare Code of Practice – Food Safety and Quality 3rd Edition.
Organic certification ensures that the product has been grown without potentially harmful chemicals. Organic systems work in harmony with nature to protect our environment we all share.

Our commitment to sustainable practice and our historic property offers a unique way to experience farming. We are proud hosts for the Willing Workers on Organic Farms (WWOOFERS) network and offer working farm stays through the host. Over the years we are happy to have had a lot of amazing people at the farm helping us out and even staying friends for years afterwards. You can also join us at FFacebook.
We have a large dam for recreational use - swimming, relaxing and fishing. We also have a boat that we use to go fishing swimming and snorkeling out of the daintree world heritage area. We commonly see a wide range of wildlife including crocodiles, sea turtles, dolphins, sharks, sea eagles and even had the chance to snorkel between a large school of manta rays. We use Biodynamic Preps with our organic systems. The work would include planting, weeding, propagating, harvesting, fruit picking, animal care and day to day farm chores. The accommodation is in our adjacent self contained cottage and buildings.
